As my mom tells it, they met and just about a week later, he asked her to marry him. While this is unique in and of itself, she already had two children, myself and my brother, Mark. They married and Jerry adopted both of us. Jerry was born to Walter Ketchum and Betty O'Connor at St. Mary's Hospital in Pueblo, CO. He has one sibling, Kathy Marie Ketchum. He served two years in the US Navy, onboard the USS Oriskany. During his life, he worked at the Pueblo (Star Journal and) Chieftain, Philmont Scout Ranch (New Mexico), as an EMT and Ambulance Coordinator in Delta, Colorado, manager at Fred Meyer, and finally as an electrician at Sam's Club in Colorado. He passed away as a result of a fall. Dad, you are sorely missed. We love you.
